"I think about the cosmic snowball theory. A few million years from now the sun will burn out and lose its gravitational pull. The earth will turn into a giant snowball and be hurled through space. When that happens it won't matter if I get this guy out." Bill Lee
This guy could change their team into what they were in 2010. He's from the Pirates.
I like the move, although I think it means Cuddyer won't be back.
Twins haven't had a constant, at SS for a while now. I don't know about Jamey Carrol, his 37 years old going to be 38 soon, his a good fill in, but I feel as though the Twins need to invest their money better.

Scott Diamond was suspended six games by Major League Baseball on Friday for a pitch thrown near the head of Rangers slugger Josh Hamilton.
Had the pitch been about 2 feet lower, no suspension would have occured. He likely wouldn't have been ejected from the game, either. The intent was clear, but the ball slipped a bit.
He is appealing his suspension and I think the number of games will be reduced.
After the Twins put Joe Mauer on trade waiver he has cleared waivers. Even though it is not very likely that the Twins will trade him, they have time until midnight to hammer out a deal with a team that is interested.

Tsuyoshi Nishioka, a middle infielder for the Minnesota Twins, asked for and received his unconditional release from the Twins on Friday.
He forfeited $3.25 million in salary that remained on his contract, ending a disastrous stint with the club after it signed him to a three-year, $9.25 million deal. The Twins also paid $5.3 million for the rights to negotiate with Nishioka.
