Naturally muscle-bound players typically have extremely limited range of motion (hence why Kapler wasn't a power hitter). Most ballplayers train legs with heavy weights, and upper-body with lighter weights. Home runs are generated mostly through bat-speed and lower body strength.

there are also different types of power. Not saying this was Kapler because I know nothing about his career but some hitters focus on trying to go the other way or to gaps rather than becoming a pure pull hitter trying to hit home runs. I think those guys were much more recognized as good hitters prior to the last 15 years or so though.

I can't say I'm even the slightest bit surprised to see Nyjer Morgan's name on the list. He's just a little guy, but has a monster ego. Seriously, who calls out Albert Pujols of all people?

Wasn't Kapler average speed, or a little above?

And I don't believe Morgan would be popping off to Pujols in a closed room. Chances are very likely he wouldn't be walking out unless he had some mad fighting skills like Calvin Murphy.

I'm with Morgan. Pujols is a turd. Then again, so is Morgan himself.

I know they did not ask this question exactly, but the nicest guy in baseball is Justin Masterson.

Jim Thome's still around, so Masterson will be second
