If your talking current period Joba has been absent and Zito even while pitching has been absent. That's the problem with these polls, you need to define the paramaters or it is just not objective

Of the pitchers listed, Joba Chamberlain has to be the best choice, followed by John Lackey. Neither is pitching this season, as both have broken down -- again.

I thought everyone knew that most of these guys know how good (or lack thereof) a lot of these players are.

A lot of people know that Ubaldo's half-season of greatness was a fluke.

Everyone should be aware that Joba's just a seventh-inning reliever, not Mo's heir.

Burnett's problems are well-documented and Lackey is trash.

There's isn't a guy on this board that would call Zito a good contract.

Don't know how Beckett is overrated. Everyone seems to forget about him now. Look at his 2011.

CJ Wilson and Stephen Strasburg are very good pitchers. Don't get those guys being up there.

Tim Lincecum legitimately does not look like a former back-to-back Cy Young winner. That's one of the good choices on the poll.

The other good choice is Papelbon, just because closers tend to be overrated.

I guess it depends on your perception of the word "overrated." I just gave you mine. To me, overpaid doesn't equate to overrated and overrated two years ago doesn't equate to overrated now (what I'm saying is that over time, overrated pitchers and players become not-as overrated over time, a lot of times to a point of being underrated).
