    New York Mets baseballs?

    Hi everyone,

Over the Memorial Day weekend I was in NJ for the Toms river tournament and I noticed that a team was hitting these balls that wouldn't go more a few feet in front of them. I never asked them the name of the balls and now I can't find them or I don't even know what the name of them are. These would be good to practice hitting in a yard and not worry about losing balls. Any help will be great, thanks for your time. John

The only thing that comes to mind is wiffleballs. Although I'm sure that's not what you're referencing here. I grew up tossing the wiffleball around in the backyard with my buddies, and I found it to be a great practicing tool. You can get a lot of movement on your pitches, and it teaches the batter to learn to hit breaking balls. They generally won't travel far, and if you have a decent sized yard, you shouldn't need to worry about hitting it over the neighbors fence.
