Not that I care all that much, but virtually all of the new logos seem to be cut from the same mold -- a graphically bold symbol dissected by the team name in big curvy letters. They all must have hired the same graphic designer.
"I think about the cosmic snowball theory. A few million years from now the sun will burn out and lose its gravitational pull. The earth will turn into a giant snowball and be hurled through space. When that happens it won't matter if I get this guy out." Bill Lee

You are right. I added this link earlier in this thread: http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/n...milb&fext=.jsp

This design company makes logos for many MiLB teams.

Why does baseball insist on getting rid of mascots in team logos? Who wants to just look at a bunch of boring text...

The new Indians logo to one that was really cool and made it pretty boring. Same with the Tourists and the Captains.

I don't think that the Indians logo is necessarily more boring than the old one. But I simply don't see why the Tourists had to change their logo.
Sure new revenue, but it surely is no improvement over the old one.

also, the Oklahoma City Redhawks will now be the AAA affiliate of the Houston Astros

And thus, the Rangers are moving to Round Rock. Funny how one team Ryan pitched for succeeds the other team he pitched for in Round Rock.

For the 2012 season, the High Desert Mavericks adopted two alternate logos

"After 21 seasons in the Victor Valley, we felt it was a great time to introduce new logos which reflected both the Mavericks team identity and our strong connections to the High Desert community" said General Manager Eric Jensen. "Our new HD logo allows the whole High Desert to feel represented when they're wearing Mavericks apparel and incorporates the unique physical attributes of this region."

"Likewise, the new cowboy logo represents the rugged resilience of those who reside in the desert, while providing a historical tie to the Maverick name."

I hope this is a sign that the Mavs will stay in the High Desert Area after the 2012 season.
