Colorado, no doubt, rules by plenty. Arizona comes along and noses out Atlanta by 32ft but still is 4001ft under the King of the Mountain, Colorado. King of the Mountain is Minnesota in the AL at 812ft. Doormat at 9ft is Philadelphia.

Feet from sea level, Cathy. Reason why Denver is called the Mile High city. Atlanta use to be King of the Hill until the Rockies were hatched.

Atlanta is still King of the Hill.

The Rockies are King of the Mountain.

The Yankees' link with the Netherlands since 1981

The Netherlands: 2011 World Champions baseball, beating Cuba twice (4-1 and 2-1)!!!!!

    You got that right.

The most significant geographic feature of the Rockies is the Continental Divide, a long ridge that divides the Atlantic and the Pacific watersheds. Colorado also offers over 50 distinct mountain ranges, 830 summits over 11,000 feet, and 55 lofty peaks that scrape the sky above 14,000 feet or two and a half vertical miles above sea level.
If you like mountains, Colorado is the place to be.

In 2005 we flew over Denver on our way to Los Angeles. I could see Coors Field. At least I can say that I have seen it.

5183. Almost the same number of posts that Old Sweater has -- and every one of them worth reading I might add!

54 feet for my Yankees. Not quite the Highlanders, I guess. Weren't they called that because they played in Wash. Heights?

You are correct that it was a nickname they took early in their existence.

Man can you imagine going from Colorado to Philly or vice-verse. The impact could be huge.
