Vancouver Canadians "the Cs" won the Northwest League in 2011 and the below video they receive their rings. They are part of the Blue Jays system.

The Vancouver Canadians received their Championship Rings at the Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training Complex in Dunedin, Florida on March 29th, 2012. Here is some footage of the event.

We need more minor league teams in Canada, but due to the weather (outside of BC) indoors centers are a must. Competition for indoor centers is very competitive with others sports and raises expenses. When I played little league in Winnipeg in grade 3 and had to wait sometime over 6 months to get back on the field it is just too much to expect for most kids, and especially with today's computer obsessed children who can't wait a few minutes to take out the garbage between Wii segments.

    Go Cs!

IMHO that should be part of a pregame ceremony in Vancouver, so the fans can see this too.

Blue Jays optioned 1B Adam Lind to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Lind was batting just .186/.273/.314 through 132 plate appearances this season and finished with a .251/.295/.439 slash line last year. He still has good pop, but Toronto can't afford to string him along in an American League East that looks as competitive as ever. Yan Gomes has been promoted in a corresponding move. Lind will likely be brought back quickly if he begins producing at the Triple-A level.

The Blue Jays announced that they outrighted right-hander Trystan Magnuson off of the 40-man roster to the Dunedin Blue Jays (via Sportsnet.ca's Shi Davidi on Twitter). The Blue Jays sent the 26-year-old native of British Columbia to Oakland in the Rajai Davis trade then purchased him back from the A's last offseason. Magnuson has been pitching at Class A Dunedin, where he has a 4.05 ERA with 6.8 K/9 and 1.4 BB/9 so far in 2012.

Blue Jays optioned LHP Evan Crawford to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Crawford has posted a 7.36 ERA and 1.91 WHIP in a few stints with the Jays this season. He'll likely be back eventually.

Bisons to reveil new logo next Tuesday

A new parent means a new logo, as the Buffalo Bisons (Class AAA; International League) will celebrate a new PDC with the Toronto Blue Jays via a new logo.

The unveiling is set for next Tuesday at Pettibones Grille at the ballpark, where the team will also introduce the new manager.

The new affiliation deal with the Blue Jays is a big deal for the Bisons; team attendance has slumped in recent years, and the possibility of bringing in new fans from across the border is seen as a plus.

    Bisons unveil new logo

Buster makes a return to the Buffalo Bisons (Class AAA; International League) logo, as the team unveiled a new primary mark and a new red, white and blue color scheme.

"It was important for us to reestablish our own team identity with our new logo," said Vice President/General Manager Mike Buczkowski. "Our fans have continued to express their fondness of the red, white and blue logo from the late '80s and early '90s at the ballpark. We feel this new logo not only pays tribute to that history but gives the team an exciting new look for the future."

The new Bisons logo will feature scarlet red as its primary color with reflex blue and white accents, giving the club their own unique color scheme. The colors are an updated version of the popular red and navy blue the team used for the first 10 years at Coca-Cola Field. The team has also returned the "hitting Buster" from past logos and updated the script "Bisons" from the 1980s to block lettering. Along with a new logo, the new symmetrical look gives the team great flexibility in marketing and promotional material.

The new primary logo is the fourth logo for the Bisons since the team began play at Coca-Cola Field. From 1988-1997, the club used a red, white and blue theme with a hitting Buster portrayed on the right side of the word "Bisons" or the letter "B." From 1998-2008, the team used a "sliding Buster" under the word "Bisons" in a green-red-gold color combo. For the past four seasons, the Bisons adopted a blue and orange theme (reminiscent of the colors of then-parent New York Mets) with a more atomically correct bison charging out of the city landscape.

The logo was designed by AdPro Sports, headquartered in Buffalo.
