The home run display (like the Apple at Citi Field) will go into action after every Miami homerun hit at Marlins Park.
That's ridiculous.

Haha yeah thats a little obnoxious. I wonder how much it costs to keep those bright lights on the whole game. Also I never understood why those walls in the outfield are lime green?
Are we in an amusement park here?
This doesn't help me at all to like the Marlins. I even gonna dislike them more.
Obviously, Loria thinks that MLB fans are a bunch of little kids. @$$hole.

Wow...that is dumb....just completely nuts.
Here is hoping no Marlin players hit a HR in their own ballpark!
Is this supposed to get me excited? If so, it failed miserably. It looks like something out of a Disney Movie...huge waste of money.
You can't beat Bernie Brewers' slide!![]()

I think a HR just needs some applause from the fans and then back to the game!
Well, the Marlins are on a downslide lately and it shows in the number of fans coming to the stadium. I have seen a couple of games now where the new stadium has MANY empty spots.
Fair weather fans.

Dan Uggla hit a ball off the sun in that a couple of days ago. I think it was measured 432 feet and Braves broadcast proclaimed it the longest home run hit in the stadium.
As far as fans go, I think they are starting to realize the trainwreck this team was waiting to happen. They needed guys like HanRam to come back and Reyes to stay healthy and then rely on guys like Zambrano to fix their issues. They took Heath Bell despite his career 3.50+ ERA away from San Diego which is in no way desirable of a top line closer.
