Closed Ballot - 1980 BBWAA Ballot

Welcome back to the Virtual HOF Series where YOU decide who is HOF worthy.

    1980 BBWAA Ballot

It's never to late to jump in and vote for the Baseball Nation Virtual Hall of Fame

You can now click on a name and find out the baseball-reference information on each player.

NO One was elected on the 1979 Veterans Committee Ballot.

Ok just a reminder, these are the winners from past elections: HOF Inductees

We are now moving onto 1980. You can vote for up to 10 players. Anyone not receiving votes is gone like Yesterdays news. Players receiving 1 vote but not the required 75% will remain on future ballots. This is an exact replica of the 1980 BBWAA Ballot minus past winners and those not receiving votes on past ballots.

Voting closes Sun. April 8th at 7 am.

Upon further review I am on the fence about Cepeda, and by extension it seems Norm Cash has just as good a case.
One split line is .297/.350/.499/.849 with a 133 OPS+, 46.8 WAR in 8698 PA. The other line is .271/.374/.488/.862 with a 139 OPS+, 52.9 WAR in 7914 PA. Very similar careers. Debate!!
