At least some unusual Spring Training news.
During the game between the Giants and the Diamondbacks, a swarm of bees delayed the game. During the second inning the swarm gathered in right field and slowly moved towards first base. Eventually the swarm was lured away with a combination of cotton candy and lemonade.
BTW, the Giants won the game 11-1.

Making his first appearance this ST with the Giants, Buster Posey got a standing ovation by the Giants' faithful.
Walking from the bullpen to the dugout, he received a warm welcome.
Posey played two innings and batted once: Against Chapman, Posey swung once and took another pitch to fall behind 0-2 before taking pitches in and high to even the count at 2-2. He lifted a fly ball to right that Chris Heisey easily hauled in as Posey ran to first and rounded the bag, wearing a protective guard over his left ankle.
Posey blocked some balls without any problems in the two innings of work.

Some Split squad games today:
SF @ MIL at 3:05
LAA @ SF at 3:05
Go Giants!
The Giants are dominating the Brewers 13-3 at the top of the ninth, game almost over.
The Angels are currently defeating the giants other split squad 8-5 in the 8th inning.
I'm really feeling for Darren Byrd after that outing. He had six earned-runs in just one-third innings. The loss doesn't really bother me (it's just Spring Training), but I hate to see anybody get beat up that badly.
On the bright side, Mat Gamel and Caleb Gindl both picked up two hits on the afternoon.
