As I have posted before, the HOF Monitor says 130 is a slam dunk and Bagwell weights in @ 150.
Don't get me wrong. Barry Larkin, to me, is a deserving Hall of Famer. I just think that it is ridiculous that we are going tokeep seeing players who werent as good as Bagwell, get voted in ahead of him.

I guarantee you nobody will question Thome when his time comes, or Frank Thomas, the way that people have criticized Bagwell

This guy turned in a blank ballot. He goes on to say that he will have to do more research on Biggio.

Biggio? He has 3,000 hits, but I need to do more research.
These kind of people shouldnt be allowed to breathe, much less vote.

I actually have no problem with this particular voter's approach. I disagree with his conclusions, and strongly, but I also think he's at least well-reasoned. He's clearly in favor of a very exclusive hall, and also clearly states that milestones are not an automatic for him. He has a clear no stance on players with PED evidence against them, but also makes it clear that speculation isn't proof (when discussing Piazza). He says he'll need to research Biggio further, but as long as he does that research, I'm fine with whatever he decides.

I disagree with the guy, particularly on Bagwell (for whom he probably doesn't take the Astrodome into account) but he does seem to be actually putting some thought into his choices, not playing the witch-hunt on players like Bagwell, and not being sanctimonious about the evils of advanced stats or using the ballot as a political statement. I can respect a voter like this, even if I disagree with his choices.

I didnt realize that the link i posted was a quote from the guy's full article. I can appreciate how much thought he puts into his ballot. I tend to agree with a lot of his points. However, i disagree with him wholeheartedly on Bagwell.

Larkin definitely deserves the Hall. Congrats.
I am quite surprised that Bagwell did not get in. But it would be a perfect scenario to see him and Biggio get in together next year, similar to Mantle and Ford in 74.

Hadn't thought about that, sober...but that would make for a great scenario for sure...-BH
