    Who Am I?

Well I guess he knows but his identity is now an issue.

Leo Nunez or should I say, Juan Carlos Oviedo, must return to the Dominican Republic to clear up issues of his identity.

According to The Associated Press, Nunez has been playing under an assumed name. The AP story said the Marlins have been aware for several months, and that Nunez's real name is Juan Carlos Oviedo.
Nunez's age also is in question. The Marlins list him at age 28, while the AP reports the reliever is 29.

So this will be interesting as the Marlins were contemplating if they should bring Nunez (Oviedo) back.

Nunez loses pay for the final 6 games and depending on how long it takes him to sort these issues out, it could affect his 2012!

You read it quite often that Latin American players don't tell their real age. Why? Not a clue. But playing under a different name is new to me.

Marlins pitcher Juan Carlos Oviedo (aka Leo Nunez) has been suspended for eight weeks by MLB for age and identity fraud. I am not sure what took them so long.

The reliever can participate in extended spring training and will be eligible to play in the major leagues July 23. He'll be eligible for one rehabilitation assignment in the minor leagues for a maximum 16 days.

First Fausto Carmona/Roberto Hernandez and now Juan Carlos Oviedo/Leo Nunez.

Makes one think how many have got away with it for their career.

Carmona/Hernandez is still on the Indians restricted list. It is the first time this season that I realized he wasn't pitching.
