    Ted Williams Stuff For Sale

Ted Williams daughter "struggled" with the idea but she is taking her Dad's things out of their storage unit and placing it for sale in the Boston area.

Among the items going up via Hunt Auctions:

    • The plaque that Ted Williams won as the American League MVP in 1949.
    • His 1946 AL championship ring.
    • A bat he used in an All-Star game.
    • A baseball that Babe Ruth signed to Williams.
    • A Hall of Fame induction ring.
    • A silver bat award for leading the league in hitting.

Part of the proceeds will be donated to The Jimmy Fund, the official charity of the Red Sox.

Storage unit? Man, I'd have that stuff in a vault.

Makes me wonder what Ted Williams boy wound up with, memorabilia wise. I hope not a darn thing.

I would have kept it on display in my house personally. I mean storage unit!

Boy, if I were a rich man....I'd love the Ruth bat and the MVP award!

If it's the daughter I'm thinking of, she NEVER struggled with anything as far as making a decision to sell off Ted's stuff. She's more than likely just cleared it with the courts.

And anybody who buys anything autographed, should be very careful as many many many items were signed by that POS son of his.

    The End
I wish I could play little league now. I'd be way better than before.

There are some items I would love to have. Wow.

That stuff should be sent to the Hall of Fame. I hate to think that it would be sitting in some schmucks basement unless I was the schmuck or maybe some of you here.

Ted Williams was always a player I wanted to meet or just get a chance to listen to speak in person.
