Barry Zito suffered a sprain in his foot Saturday night when he landed awkwardly while trying to field a bunt by Arizona's Joe Saunders. On Sunday, the Giants put him on the 15-day disabled list for the first time in his career.

Mark DeRosa is listed as day-to-day after hurting his wrist watching a ball in the dirt. Seriously. In my opinion, he's done. His wrist has plagued him for over two seasons, and it was probably bothering him before he signed with us. I expect him to retire at the end of the season, if not sooner.
Brian Wilson and Aaron Rowand were also hurting by the end of the game today, so we'll see what develops there...
