    Greatest Relief Pitcher - 1990's

This thread will allow you to vote for who in your opinion feel is the greatest player at his position for a particular decade. The criteria I will be using is 1,000 games played for position players (except for Catchers, 850 GP for them), 250 games started for SP's, and 400 appearances for relief pitcher's.

Here are the candidates for the 1990's Relief Pitchers, and the poll will be closed at 12:45 CST on Tuesday, June 21st.

As a Dodgers fan, Trevor Hoffman was the only pitcher that I feared every appearance. He pitching for the Padres in the 1990's, there was no one else who shut down the Dodgers and every offense in general. He was a damn good reliever and had a tremendous career with over 600 saves.

I have to go with John Wettland here. Most saves, lowest ERA, most strikeouts and highest WAR.

It was between Wetteland and Hoffman. It's hard to pick, but since I know Rivera will win for the 2000's, I'll go with Hoffman.

Wetteland in baseballs most overrated and micro-scoped position, IMO.

Had a hard choice between Wetteland, Hoffman, and Franco. All were great, but Wetteland had slightly better stats for his team.
