    I went with Cal.

    Ripken's record really has two things going for it. Firstly, a player needs to be talented enough to play for over sixteen years, and secondly, a player really only has one chance over a career to break it; a single game missed, unless at the very beginning or end of a career, is enough to render the record unbreakable.

    I have to go with Ripken's streak also. One way to think about it is that the other streaks require a whole lot less time to accomplish....which, to me, makes Ripken's the toughest ...and longest by far....to break.-BH

    I remember there those who criticized Ripken for continuing on with the streak and "hurting" the team.
    I wish I could play little league now. I'd be way better than before.

    I would go with hits. That's pretty hard to beat, I've seen people go to the thirties like Posey but not the 50's like Dimaggio
