Minnesota Twins Twins Sign For Charity

Minnesota Twins players Matt Capps, Brian Duensing and Drew Butera are among the players scheduled to appear at Target Field Gate 29 on Saturday to sign autographs. Fans who give $10 will get an autograph from each player. The signing is scheduled to last one hour from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

All of the proceeds from the event will go to the American Red Cross to help the victims of the devastating tornado in Joplin, Miss.

    Kudos to these players.

This is similar to what the Dodgers did during Spring Training for the Tsunami relief in Japan, however you had to donate for each autograph. I think donating a flat flee of $10 for all the autographs is a better idea and more organized because at least you're guaranteed to get the autographs.

Maybe some of the fans who stalked the Brewers to accumulate prizes will give them away for some charity. Doubtful.

Great idea by the Twins' organization. They do things like this regularly.
