San Francisco Giants Cain takes no-no into 8th, beat Rockies

DENVER -- Matt Cain carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning and finished the job himself, pitching the San Francisco Giants to a 4-2 victory over the fading Colorado Rockies on Sunday.

It was a timely performance for the stingy Giants, who began the day a half-game behind first-place San Diego in the NL West. The Rockies, who have dropped six of seven, lost ground in the division race but remained 3 1/2 games back of Atlanta in the wild-card standings.

Pretty dominant performance by Matt Cain, I really like his pitching style, it mirrors myself, give or take 25 mph on his fastball. lol.
