I went with Berra, but Bill Dickey's not far off. This has really been an outstanding position for the Yankees - Berra and Dickey are among the greatest catchers of any era, and Posada, Munson, and Howard were all among the best catchers of their generations - and all played essentially their entire careers for the Yankees (even if a couple ended with other teams).

i would normally laugh at such a question, but because the other candidates are/were so good, i have to restrain myself. Did Yogi say: "It ain't a question if there is only one answer" (LOL, just kidding).

I wish I had an answer to that because I'm tired of answering that question. - Yogi Berra
Lately I've been hard to reach, I've been too long on my own
Everybody has a private world where they can be alone
Are you calling me? Are you trying to get through?
Are you reaching out for me, like I'm reaching out for you?

It has to be Yogi. On a team known for it's rings and he's been a part o over 1/3 of them

What a rich history this team has at Backstop! I wouldn't mind having any of them.
But having to choose just one, Larry Berra gets the nod.
