Come on ... no love for Graig Nettles? No respect.

"Tonight was the exact same thing," Bundy said. "Going into each
start, they want me to work on my changeup. I'm going out there
throwing changeups and curveballs when I don't even need to."

Translation: Hitters can't even touch Bundy's
fastball, never mind get wood on a curve.

I think A-Rod and Nettles are close based purely on their Yankee years, but I give it to Rodriguez for his big years. There's really no iconic figure at this position for the Yankees; they've had some great players at third, but most of their best had significant time in other organizations too.

I love Nettles and felt he had the misfortune of having some guy in Baltimore to contend with for the Gold Glove. But overall, I have to go with ARod.

Alex Rodriguez, even if you count only his stats while playing third.
"I think about the cosmic snowball theory. A few million years from now the sun will burn out and lose its gravitational pull. The earth will turn into a giant snowball and be hurled through space. When that happens it won't matter if I get this guy out." Bill Lee
