    I went with Gordon, but this one is really a toss-up between Gordon, Lazzeri, and Randolph. If you adjust for war-time service, I think Gordon comes out ahead. If you don't, then it could go to either Randolph or Lazzeri, depending on how you weigh Randolph's defense versus Lazzeri's offense.

    The way Cano's career is going, he could make this discussion moot in a few years.

    Bobby Richardson. I don't really know why except he was one of the first baseball cards I ever got as a kid.
