I've never done a points league, so I'm a little in the dark as to an overall draft philosophy , but this seems to be a good balance of power and speed on the offensive side (for a 17-team league).

I have no idea about the pitching.

H2H or Roto??

Verlander is a top-10 points league pitcher and Kershaw was definitely at the top last year. it's hard to project much of a stepback for him..

this league should mean that pitcher's have a stronger value than they do normally, especially pitchers that go deep in games and are consistent from start to start. that said, i like your pitching staff, but it might be counterproductive to roster guys like Kuo and Adams who are more likely to pick up and accidental blown save every now and then....

with the scoring for hitters, you want as many power hitters and base stealers that you can find. i have never seen a points league that doesnt subtract points for caught stealing an K's...that means you can actually roster guys like Napoli and Scott....

not a bad team....i imagine a top 5 team without seeing other teams in the league

I've played in point leagues the past 3 years, and I think you've got a pretty nice team for 17 teams, especially your pitching. Your starting pitching is pretty impressive, and with Choo and Longoria anchoring your hitting, you've got a nice balance especially with that scoring system.

I've done a 12 and 14 team league (going to be doing 16 this year), but I've never done a 17 team league so I can't say for sure, but I think you've got a very nice chance, but without seeing the other teams it's hard to tell.
