After losing the last three games of their road series vs Mississippi, the Biscuits ended the slide with a close victory over the Chattanooga Lookouts.
Seven innings neither team scored a run. Kyle Lobstein kept the defense of the Lookouts in check by fanning five, allowing only five hits and two walks in six innings of work. The Biscuits' relievers didn't allow a run as well.
The Biscuits on their turn couldn't cash in with runners in scoring position for three times. But in eighth, a single, a sac bunt and another single drove in the game's sole run.
Kyle Lobstein didn't earn the win but lowered his ERA to 4.15. Frank De Los Santos won his third game of the season (W 3-1, 2.23 ERA) after 2.1 innings of work in which he allowed two hits and struck out one.
Best batter for the Biscuits was Ryan Garko who got two hits out of four at bats. Garko is hitting a respectable .321, so you can wonder how long it will take before he will be promoted.
Mobile didn't play due to a rainout, so the Biscuits inched a bit closer and are now 1.5 games out of first place.
