After winning the final game in Pearl MS, the Biscuits hosted the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs).
Until the bottom of the sixth, Montgomery trailed 3-0, but in the sixth they started a comeback.
With one out, Ty Morrison singled and reached third in the next at bat by Omar Luna, who reached base on a force attempt and fielding error by 3B Junior Lake. Luna reached second base on this error.
Ryan Garko got the Biscuits' first RBI when he hit into a ground out (5-3) and allowed Ty Morrison to score. Keyong Kang then homered to right field to even the score at three.
The score remained 3-3, so extra innings were needed. After Tennessee failed to score, Montgomery' Brett Nommensen doubled. A wild pitch allowed him to advance to third. Then Tennesse intentionally walked the next two batters, but with the bases loaded, reliever TyRelle Harris walked Michael Sheridan and gave the victory to Montgomery.
Best batter for the Biscuits was Brett Nommensen who got a double in his only at bat.
Neil Schenk pitched the tenth inning for the win (W 2-0, 3.75 ERA).
Due to this win and Mobile's loss vs Birminghame, the Biscuits trail the BayBears now by only two games. Mobile's magic number to clinch the first half division title is 16.
