Matt Buschmann hurled seven innings in which he allowed one run on five hits, walked two and struck out six.
After a 6-0 loss in the previous game, Buschmann led the Biscuits the way. Of twenty-one batters, he eliminated eleven with groundballs.
In the bottom of the third inning, Mississippi took a 1-0 lead, but the Biscuits bounced back in the top of the fourth. The Biscuits sent eight batters to the plate in that inning. With one out and runners on first and second (one walk and an fielding error), Michael Sheridan reached first base on a throwing error that sent Ty Morrison home and Ryan Garko to third. Consecutive singles by Tyler Bortnick and Greg Sexton drove in two runs and put runners on third and second. A fielders choice on a hit by Brad Coon (6-5) drove in Tyler Bortnick for the fourth Biscuits' run of the game.
Matt Buschmann earned his second win (2-2, 4.30 ERA). Frank De Los Santos earned his third save of the season, throwing two perfect innings, striking out three and lowering his ERA to 1.63.
Best batter for the Biscuits was Greg Sexton. He got two hits (one double) out of four at bats with an RBI.
