Mudge you are back!
I think it was Wally Moon of the LA Dodgers who was the first player I ever heard of who hit a home run in his first ML at bat -- of course I found out later that many others had done that too, but as a kid, I was really impressed. My favorite question remains as usual (Who was the one person -- player, coach, manager, whatever -- who had the greatest influence on you career as a ballplayer).
Hey Mudge. OK I will chat with Fred Lynn this coming week. Am working on a Darryl Srawberry interview and hey, you ever hear of Wally Moon? Might try that as well.
Mudge, Al Oliver interview is up and he shares some interesting stories about Stargell and Clemente.
140 pm's was a lot!
2 PMs from 2 members will definitely let them know they are missed. I created a "form" letter that I changed depending on how many posts they made and when they last popped in. I added the date of their last visit, made mention of their post count and what features our site had that they might have missed.
I sent a PM to EVERY member who has been away longer than a week! Each was individualized. My hand hurts but it was a good idea you suggested so I thought I would run with it.
Would love for you to participate in the virtual hof
