A West Coast Fans Tomahawk Perspective
Atlanta closer, Craig Kimbrel, entered Wednesday night’s game in the top of the ninth inning with the Braves leading the Washington Nationals by a score of 3 -1. Braves starter Tommy Hanson, followed by relievers Cory Gearrin, Eric O’Flaherty and Johnny Venters had held the Nats to only one run on 6 hits in the first eight innings, but Kimbrel surrendered that lead after facing only five Washington hitters, loading the bases with only one out before surrendering an RBI double to pinch hitter Alex ...
The Atlanta Braves took both games of a doubleheader against Milwaukee Wednesday, boosting their record to 17 – 15 on the season and moving into sole possession of 3rd place in the National League East division. The Braves now trail the 1st place Phillies by 4.5 games. The Florida Marlins are in 2nd place in the division, one game behind Philadelphia. The Braves have been hot lately, winning eight of their last eleven games. The Braves won game one Wednesday by a score of 8 – 3 behind ...

It has been a season of frustration for the Braves thus ...

Talented lefty Mike Minor has made nine ...
Jair Jurrjens once again finds himself on the DL as we begin the 2011 season. I am excited to see how LHP Mike Minor will do in his absence. Righty starter Brandon Beachy pitched well today against Milwaukee. Beachy beat out Minor this spring for the 5th spot in the rotation. With an all Righty rotation, in my opinion, it would be great to see Minor have success as a Lefty. If ...
