Welcome back to the Virtual HOF Series where YOU decide who is HOF worthy.

1982 Veterans Committee Ballot

This is a great jumping on point.

You can click on a name and find out the baseball-reference information on each player.

Congrats to Frank Robinson, Hank Aaron and Bob Gibson who were elected on the 1982 BBWAA Ballot

Ok just a reminder, these are the winners from past elections: HOF Inductees (http://baseballnation.net/showthread.php?162-Virtual-HOF-Inductees)

We are now staying with 1982. You can vote for both candidates on this years balliot. Anyone not elected is gone like Yesterdays news.

NOTE: This is an exact replica of the 1982 Veterans Committee Ballot minus past winners.

Voting closes Sun. June, 17th at 7 am

Happy Chandler (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Chandler)
Travis Jackson (http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/j/jackstr01.shtml)

His most significant action as commissioner was the approval of Jackie Robinson's contract with the Brooklyn Dodgers, effectively integrating Major League Baseball. He also established the first pension fund for Major League players, earning him the title "the players' commissioner". Baseball owners were upset with Chandler's governance, however, and did not renew his contract in 1951.

I vote yes for him. No for the other.

Neither for me.

Why was Travis Jackson even elected in the first place? What a joke!

I don't know why Jackson was elected but shocked at the lack of love for Happy!
