Sorry but the Astros were 50 last year also. Rockies started in 93 and they turned 20 this year.

i've been arguing this also, BUT i have recently changed my mind. Our original Opening Day was April 10, 1962 which was 50 years ago. This is the Astros' 51st season, so in that sense we are 51, BUT....
If you have been married for 365 days, what are you celebrating?? You are on year 2 of marriage, but you celebrate your 1st Anniversary....That's how i view this 50th season stuff that is going on

Very true, depends on how one views the timeline. Like on April 10th in 1962 some view the Astros as one year old already and this year they had 6 games under their belts by April 10th. Technically the Astros and Mets were 50 years old the last game of last season.
I guess these married couples that celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary are a year early.:)
