Surprised by the fact that theowner of the Pirates is in the top ten. And still the Bucs have one of the lowest payrolls.
And indeed, owners should pay for their own stadium.

Not me. Subtract their payroll from around 80mil and that is what they make before selling one ticket or hotdog. Athletics had the lowest projected payroll this year, going for the sure profit. Some teams have the money to spend but chose not to.
