Hello! This will now most likely be not only the early trading place, but might be the entire season trading place as well. Note:Most deals will not be put here, but announce when you accept one, or tell who's on the trading block.

2012 Baseball Nation Dynasty League

The official league will be a ROTO league on ESPN.
FINAL ESPN ROSTER: 25 players. 12 active offense: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, MI, CI, LF, CF, RF, OF, U. 9 active pitchers 3 SP, 3 RP, 3 P. 4 Bench. 2 DL spots.
Offensive categories: HR, R, RBI, OBP, SB (note: OBP instead of traditional BA).
Pitching categories: W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP.
SALARY CAP: $260, based on ROTOWIRE 2012 auction values for each player given our league parameters and settings. We will post them here as soon as possible and they will remain our guide throughout the season.
You have exclusive rights to every player on the 40-man roster of your HOME TEAM unless said player is already on another team in the BNDL.
You will declare at 25-man FINAL ESPN ROSTER, not to exceed $260 according to RotoWire's values.
After all 25-man FINAL ESPN ROSTERS are set, we will have a Rule 5 draft for all players not on a 25-man FINAL ESPN ROSTER. This will be a 3-round repeating draft order. Any player you select in this draft must replace a player on your 25-man FINAL ESPN ROSTER. You will get him at the RotoWire value. Again your team cannot exceed $260.
After the Rule 5 Draft and the FINAL ESPN ROSTERS are set, you maintain the rights to every player on your HOME TEAM's 40-man roster who is not on another team.
You may drop and add players at any time after the season begins, no matter what their value.
All transactions will be noted here at Baseball Nation in this forum specifically devoted to this league.

I should establish the protocol for trades. I apologize for not doing so earlier, but here goes:

You can offer and counter offer trades either publicly (on this thread) or privately (through PMs). However, once a trade is agreed upon, it is not official until (A) both sides post up their agreement on this thread, and (B) as commissioner, I give my stamp of approval (which I always do -- I don't think I've ever vetoed a trade, have I?).

So, if a trade for Mauer has been accepted, post it here so I cam authorize it. I will then adjust the official rosters, which appear at the top of every page on the main Dynasty 2012 thread.

I think the best thing is for everyone to take responsibility for monitoring it - the most sets of eyes that way. Mistakes do happen, but it's important that we make note of any mistakes ASAP so that they can be fixed before they have much of an impact.

As a general rule, I try to check any transactions I notice -in particular if someone adds a player and I'm wondering why he was still on the free agents list.
