I know people get pretty creative with their team names. What are some of your favorite team names? past or present.
This year i have 3 teams named so far. i like to name them after a player on my team, although one of mine is just an all-time favorite i like to use
No Guts, No Lawrie
B. Inge Drinkers <----my all-time favorite
U say tomato, I say Joe Votto
For Whom Anibal Tolls
Do you have any favorites you would like to share?

The Walla Walla Wallabies was one I used last season. Walla Walla is a real town in Washington, and a Wallaby is a kangaroo-like species. I thought it was pretty clever. :fing02:

fwiw, the name I use most "Muddy Hookers" is a combined name from 2 of my favorite Blues artists, Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker.

Lots of team names involving a pun for one my player's last names.
Grand Theft Votto, Highway to Hellickson, Happy Holliday(s), Danks for Nothing were my team names last year. A huge part of the excitement for me during fantasy season is coming up with a team name. Though I think I'm just lame that way.

I've never used the fancy or fun names, but I have run across a few good ones. I beat anorexia (with a picture of a 900 lb dude) and it Byrnes when I Peavy. are two that come to mind

i have a new way for coming up with team names this year. Open iTunes and hit shuffle. I get to skip only twice. One of those 3 song names has to be my team name. I just wanted to do something different this year.
So far:
Inside Your Head
Taste for Danger
Here is Gone
Under My Voodoo
Bottoms Up
Mudge

Same as my BN name....
The Steady Eddies :)
this will be my second year in a 12 team 5X5 rotissere, live draft auction league. About half the guys in my league I play city softball with so its a great league. We all love different teams to so give eachother crap all season long.

I have seen "My Knee Grows" before. Thought that was pretty funny.
Not really a play on any baseball players names or anything but thought it to be a little clever.

My three favorites that I have used before are: The Lollygaggers (bull durham reference), The Twenty-Three Stooges (b/c of 23 roster spots), and Gracey's Slump Busters (favorite Mark Grace story).
There are a ton of references from the movie Major League that I have wanted to use before but have been afraid of offending others by having them as my team name.

good ones. and as far as being offended by team names, there seems to be no PC rules when it comes to fantasy team names from what i have seen. It's an anything goes kinda deal..
