I won't show you the PJ's and stuff but a couple of friends tried to do a joke intervention. I live in Canada but hate hockey. They decided to help me integrate without going cold-turkey.

A friend made this as a gag gift:

The Art Of Fielding is an amazing book so far. Still making my way through it though due to lack of time.

This year I only got one baseball related item but it was a great one. My sister got me an authentic Mariners jersey with the number 77 and Niehaus on the back. She also got me the memorial patch worn in 2011 and a Mariners beanie along with it. Nothing could top that. Best gift ever.

Other than that we got a Keurig coffee maker. I got a set of Bose headphones, new iPod to replace the one that stopped working and a Nook Tablet. Other various items included shirts, gift cards and stuff I am too tired to try remembering. It was a good year. Not only because of the presents but I got to spend time with my amazing wife and both of our families. It was great.

I was released from the basement of the nervous hospital for a few hours to roam the streets and observe the activities of the day. No one was injured during this time so I believe I've gained some trust..........wouldn't you say??

Fooled 'em again...............Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!

The Mick is back!

I'm glad to see that a number of us got books (my favorite gift -- to give and to receive).

As for Mick, I think he should have gotten booked.

Yes it is. What is really interesting is many of the rules are the same today without the ball changing in weight or measurement, or the distance between the bases. They spelled balk 'baulk' back then.

That has to be the most interesting gift in the thread. I need to look and see if I can get a copy of that.

I bought myself a gift this morning for six bucks. I got a 16 ounce Rolling Rock beer glass. I don't drink RR anymore but the glass was the same color as the RR green bottle. I have collected beer/shot glasses/bar type items for years; if anyone wants to send me anything, I'd be happy to take it off your hands. :)

Looking forward to tomorrow where it's just my wife and I relaxing with no one else around. We had a party for her family members on Saturday.

^^^that sounds like a really cool mug! I collect them as well. There's a local bar that gives out a 'free' mug when you buy a couple pints of the special on Wednesdays...I go there off and on to see what it looks like and whether i want it...i'd love to see a picture of it

Nice....

My wife decided we should just get the kids and extended family gifts this year and make gifts for each other. I created a crossword puzzle filled with 17 years of memories of our married life and a word search with all of the places we have visited/lived over the years.

that's very thoughtful of you. Pinterest idea? lol j/k. Most of my wife's good ideas come from Pinterest these days. We just decided not to buy anything for each other this year. Saves money, and we really don't need anything anyways. All of the money goes to our kid, Matthew.

I got a $300 gift card for my birthday from my wife. Today she gave me a $200 gift card. Now I know why she told me to hold off on buying an ipad last month. Guess we'll be visiting the Apple store sometime this week. :)

She also gave me a calendar with each month showing pictures of the cats and Rocky. And a tea mug with pictures of them also. And a pillow case with a picture of my cat Newbie sprawled across the front.

Rocky and the boys (Chicken, Newbie and Gizmo) got lots of gifts and the livingroom looks like a s#%thouse mess. I love it and they're having so much fun.
