One of my new favorite movies is The Other Guys. Very funny movie and I could watch it over and over. I've seen it twice but I will be watching it plenty of more times to come. It definitely falls under my favorite movies, it's just a bit more new than my current favorite movies.

In the movie version of the Shea Neary fight Ward went down. Ward says no way that ever happened in the real fight. The one thing that really bothered me was the trilogy of fights with Arturo Gatti were never shown. Those were the final three fights of his career and IMO should have been a key in the movie as they showed how much heart this guy had.
The more they showed of Lowell MA, the less I wanted to ever see that place again.

None of the Gatti/Ward fights are featured?!? One thing is certain, without those three fights, no movie about Ward would have ever been made.

Nope........the only mention of the fights was a small paragraph at the end, before the credits. I mean, Jesus, round 9 in the first fight was voted round of the century.

Everyone and I mean everyone(Guys too) should go and see Black Swan. Most females would like it because it is a great film and have wonderful ballet in it,but the guys I think will also enjoy it simply because of Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis.
I've been meaning to see that! Everyone has talked so highly of that movie. I used to be a ballerina so that was what mainly got me interested, but I also love the two main characters as well. They're such versatile actresses!
I really want to see the new Fast and Furious movie thats coming out in April. It has almost all the main characters that have been in the previous movies!

Isn't that awesome? A lot of people in the town I live in still don't know that you can get movies from the library for free AND keep them for two weeks, so no pressure to watch them right away. I think my library may have more movies than the video store down the street. I have a feeling that video store won't be there much longer anyway due to things like Netflix.

1. Unforgiven
2. The Outlaw Josie Wales
3. The Empire Strikes Back
4. The Fifth Element
5. American History X
It's an odd deal. For the most part, I don't care for westerns. But my top two ever are Clint Eastwood westerns.
The Fifth Element is Bruce Willis' greatest movie.......that's right, I said it.

t's one of the biggest honors in American sports: the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine. Imagine the outrage if someone made it who didn't know anything about athletics.
Well...
Actor Brad Pitt, appearing on the September 26 edition of SI which hits newsstands Wednesday, admits he's out to lunch when it comes to hardball. "It's shameful how little I know about baseball," Pitt told the Daily Mail. "I'm amazed they let me do this movie. Baseball and I didn't get along that well."
While hardball wasn't his thing, the Daily Mail reports Pitt did say he gave some other sports a try while growing up in Oklahoma.
"I wrestled one year [in high school]," he said. "I dived one year. Everything but baseball."
The star of Moneyball, the story of the Oakland A's making the playoffs several times under a low payroll, explained he did the film because he's a "sucker for the underdog story." Of course since Pitt isn't a real baseball fan, he might not realize that the A's are now as much of an underdog as ever. The only Champagne that has flowed in the team's home stadium recently was when the Tigers clinched the AL Central division there last week.
NFL Films hired Pitt last year to narrate the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl documentary. But in that case, he admitted to being a big fan of pro football.
Figures don't it? Not that it matters much for a role an actor plays. On the flip side, Kurt Russel who played some pro ball has never done a baseball film that I know of.

"Money" For Nothing: Brad Pitt Notwithstanding, Baseball Movies Just Don't Work Anymore

Guess Passan don't care for the movie but he is just one guy like anyone else except for the power of the pen. IMO, if Hollywood wants another blockbuster movie about baseball, all they have to do is title one STEROIDS, or something along that line and the controversy sallys will be tripping over themselves to buy a ticket.

Well I didn't go see "Cowboys & Aliens" first run, keeping I believe, Robin Hood with Kevin Costner, as the last first run movie I went to. I did take the ex to 'Barber Shop' but can't remember if I sprung for first run. Why she left me is still a mystery.:)
Out of 5 I give the movie 4 stars but I like these kind of movies. The title had me hooked. Plenty of action and not much smoochy smoochy. Not to spoil the movie to much for others that haven't seen it, I do wish the girl could have helped more with some added powers.

Only saw War Horse the other day though it's been out a while, I love horses and horse-riding so this was a must see, and the whole family ended up in tears, well, not me obviously as somebody has to control their emotions LOL but I thought it was one of the nicest movies I've seen for quite a while, Spielberg is a great director and producer.

Well Moneyball hit the Arvada library already, so I gave it a shot. There was no mention of Sandy Alderson starting the saber recruiting of players for the A's because of their budget, so I hit the reject button.:)
