Thank you for agreeing to this interview for the members of Baseball Nation.

Q: Baseball Nation - Is there one person in your career as a baseball player (fellow player/manager/coach) who had a significant impact on the way you approach the game? Why?

A: Mickey Rivers – Yes, Thurman Munson. He showed everyone how to play the right way.

Q: Baseball Nation – Ok I have to ask...the Bronx Zoo, was it really that crazy?

A: Mickey Rivers – Yes.

Q: Baseball Nation – There were a lot of "characters" on your Yankee teams. Looking back, what stands out to you today?

A: Mickey Rivers –Billy Martin & Sparky Lyle

Q: Baseball Nation – How fierce was the Yankees/Royals rivalry?

A: Mickey Rivers – It was intense.

Q: Baseball Nation – 70 steals in a season. What, in your opinion, does it take to effectively steal a base?

A: Mickey Rivers – Concentration & being quick!!!!

Q: Baseball Nation – What do you miss most about playing the game?

A: Mickey Rivers – I miss all the guys.

Q: Baseball Nation – You were almost as quick with a quip as you were with your legs. Did your teammates ever give you grief over your wit?

A: Mickey Rivers – All the time.

Q: Baseball Nation – Do you have any regrets about your career?

A: Mickey Rivers – None.

Q: Baseball Nation – What do you wish people knew about Mickey Rivers?

A: Mickey Rivers – All the good I try to do for people.

Q: Baseball Nation – What can you tell us about mickthequick.com (http://www.mickthequick.com/)?

A: Mickey Rivers – mickthequick.com (http://www.mickthequick.com/) is a way for my fans to stay in touch with me. They can get my autograph, which includes "mick the quick" on every item and also my personal Hologram on each item. There are many cool items on the site. They can sign up to have lunch with me also. Check it out!!

Thank you again sir for doing this.

Funny how people differ. The guy on your previous interview had some very long answers. This guy seems to want to get rid of it asap.

Yeah I here you. Mickey Rivers was kind enough to do this but I would have loved to ask some follow ups to illicit more detail on some of these answers.
