After a fractured wrist had him sidelined for about 5 weeks, Pablo Sandoval has returned scorching hot, hitting .305 on the year so far with 8 homers. He'll be getting a chance to play in the All-Star game on Tuesday as well, something he missed out on in 2009. This season Pablo looks a lot more like his 2009 self, physically and through his play. Losing that weight seems to have done something for his swing, and he really looks to be back on track once again in his career and it looks like a very bright future for the Panda.
Right now Sandoval is sporting a 21-game hitting streak after an RBI double tonight against the Mets. He'll hope to pick things up where he left off on Thursday in San Diego to kick off the second half of the season. Hopefully he's able to keep it up.

Glad he seems to be back on track. Really a fun player to watch, at bat, and in the field. Last year in the playoffs when he didn't get that much playing time, didn't stop him from being a total team player by cheering on his teammates. Stuff like that really impresses me.

i am glad to see he made the roster for the All-Star Game. Even though he has been hurt for a good bit, i think he is easily a better option than an aging Chipper and Scott Rolen at the hot corner
also just realized that his 1.1 defensive WAR is the best of any 3B....way to go Kung Fu Panda

A 21 game hitting streak. Good for him! Would love to see him get closer to the 56 number...not to break it mind you but to get close.

He is one of the most entertaining players from another team I always love to watch. He is also a fan favorite not only for Giants fan , but all over MLB. Go Panda keep it up.

Good for him. His numbers are much more impressive than those of last year. I hope that he can continue to play this way. He may even threaten Joltin' Joe's hitting streak record.... Threaten... not breaking it. ;)

Pablo extended the streak to 22 games last night, going 2-5 with a run scored and a walk. He's hitting .323 during this streak and .305 on the year.

I wonder if the All-Star break will help him keep the streak going, he got a little bit of extra rest, also a confidence boost in getting to play in the game. Probably won't do much, something to think about though I suppose.

So the streak ends at 22 for Pablo with an 0-2 night with an RBI.

Sort of a blessing in disguise for a player.
