This thread will allow you to vote for who in your opinion feel is the greatest player at his position for a particular decade. The criteria I will be using is 1,000 games played for position players, 250 games started for SP's, and 400 appearances for relief pitcher's. You can choose up to three player's for the outfielder poll.

Here are the candidates for the 1990's Outfielder, and the poll will be closed at 12:20 CST on Tuesday, June 21st.

My all-time favorite player is Ken Griffey Jr. He was very fun to watching growing up. I said that about Biggio, but man....I grew up in the 90's. Also voted for my dude David Justice, how can I not!?

This one is tough between Griffey and Bonds. I want to use the steroids card against Bonds, but we dont have proof of when he started. Concensus belief is that he started towards the very end of the decade, but he was still damn good in the beginning of the decade when he supposedly wasnt on the juice. This was Griffey's decade, and he had injury issues that kept him from being even better. He played the more valuable defensive position, but it's not like Bonds was a slouch in the OF. Bonds actually was a plus defender as well in this decade. So maybe a slight edge to Griffey because he played CF. Basepaths, the edge goes to Bonds, but Griffey wasnt a slouch here either. I just dont know with this one, it's a coin flip for me. If i was making a team with the 90's players, i want Bonds playing LF with Lofton in CF. So i go with Bonds

I went with Bonds, Griffey, and Larry Walker. I know that Coors Field enhanced Walker's raw numbers, but I believe that WAR normalizes for that. And he stole a lot more bases than you'd think.

I am going with Tony Gwynn. He had great stats but more importantly to me, he epitomized class!

If you wanna go by class, in the 90's I'd pick Gwynn, Kirby Puckett, and still Griffey.

Barry Bonds. Juice or not, no one worked harder at the game. To bad he didn't have no personal skills.

Ken Griffey Jr. was the man in the 1990's. He had one of the smoothest swings in the game and he could outplay Bonds in the field anyday.

I would go with Bonds, Griffey, and Mr. Padre. The only thing the first two had over Gwynn was power, even though Tony showed some occasionally. Defensively, Tony outshone them all during the decade.

My thought is that it had to be Bonds or Griffey. I do like the fact people are mentioning Gwynn though.
