I think it was soberdennis who did this for each team....I think it would be too hard to do it for baseball as a whole.....

Yeah. I did it for all teams. It was fun. But I'll give this a try, too.
c-Bench-But I would put IRod not that far behind. They were both great defensively. Johnny has the edge on offense.
1b-Gehrig-No brainer. Foxx is probably number 2.
2b-Hornsby-.358 says it all.
ss-Wagner-Better offense than the likes of Smith, Ripken, and Jeter. They say he was great on defense, too.
3b-Robinson-nuff said.
of-Ruth
Mays
Cobb
RHP-Johnson
LHP-Koufax
RP-Rivera
Manager-McCarthy

With those starters you might not even need Mo.

C. Johnny Bench
1B. Lou Gehrig
2B. Roger Hornsby
SS. Honus Wagner
3B. Mike Schmidt
LF. Barry Bonds...only if he gets credit for his faults otherwise Ted Williams and I pick Bonds only because he was a far better fielder.
CF. Ty Cobb...Tough call over Mays. If DH was in place it's Mays and Cobb is DH.
RF. Babe Ruth
RH. Walter Johnson
LH. Lefty Grove
RP. Mariano Rivera

Yeah. I did it for all teams. It was fun.

Where could I find that? I think it'd be interesting to look at those, and I may try my hand at some all-time teams also.
