WASHINGTON -- Braves manager Bobby Cox earned his 2,500th win, getting five effective innings from Derek Lowe (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?playerId=3640) and a three-run homer from Alex Gonzalez (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?playerId=3038) in Atlanta's crucial 5-0 victory over the Washington Nationals (http://espn.go.com/mlb/team/_/name/wsh/washington-nationals) on Saturday.

Reaching this milestone for Bobby Cox must of been special, the final games of the season are winding down and he gets his 2,500th victory. He's had a heck of a career, and has also been tossed more than any manager out there. He went on a strong 13-14 year stint leading the Braves into the post-season. Kudos to Mr. Cox!
