Man the players and coaches are getting to the point where comparisons will soon be made to the shenanigans in the NFL!

Only in America does someone write a story about a drunk driving arrest and give you the guys earned run average.
I heard there was another "sincere apology" from Lowe. Sorry, you don't get to apologize when you made a conscious decision to possibly take some innocent person's life into your own hands. In this country, money talks and some dirty lawyer will find a way to get him only a slap on the wrist. Personally, I think one of these guys needs to serve time.

I am thinking it's time for a MLB zero tolerance policy!

I don't think they should be treated different then any other person working in the United States just becuse they are Pro athletes out of a labor pool of 800 or so. They are human just like everybody and humans are the most imperfect things on this planet.

The Braves said they would wait for the case to be resolved in the courts before they considered any disciplinary action against Lowe. He will make his next scheduled start Sunday against the Cardinals.
I wish all cases were settled in court before the names were released to the public. I believe this is the case in some countries like England. The average Joe is lucky to get his name in a police blotter or crime beat.

I don't know what the punishment is for DUI in the US, but these athletes should be treated like every other person indeed. Even if that means that they have to serve some time in prison.

In the U.S. if you are Famous or Rich you can get away with a DUI.

Money and fame trumps reason in almost every case. Nothing you can do about it.

I think there should be zero tolerance for DUI regardless of your position and job.
When you drink and get behind a wheel you are endangering lives.

Totally agree. Just can't be a double standard for a certain trade or profession. Well shouldn't be but we all know there is. How often do you see a police officer in the papers for a DUI? Good ol' double standard professional courtesy.
Knock me over with a feather. Guess who is the "Game of the Week" on FOX:) At least I really like the 2 clubs, the Braves and Cardinals, so I'm happy that a player from another club didn't commit a murder to knock the Braves vs Cardinals off the air.

i definitely think he needs to be treated the same as any other person. To the best of my knowledge, as long as you can post bail, you dont necessarily have to do any jail time the first DUI. I have never had this happen to me, but a friend of mine has had this happen and it wasn't until the 2nd DUI that he had a 30-day jail sentence.

All charges were dismissed.
Lack of evidence. He did remarkably well in the field test after declining a breathalyzer. No proof he was racing down the street.
He did not contest the charge of an improper lane change.
