I wonder what drives fans to a Minor League stadium.
Is that :
1. The game itself
2. Cheap tickets
3. Cheap food
4. Entertainment
5. Good atmosphere
6. It is family oriented

ALL of the above!
Minor League baseball is great because the focus is more on fun as opposed to baseball. Minor League teams have to market their product that way simply because they have absolutely no control over the product on the field.
Many teams have wacky promotions, or guest entertainers. The Ballparks themselves are often unique and charming in their own way. Sometimes, the individual mascots themselves are the attraction. I went to a game in Zebulon, NC where "Muddy" the Mudcat was jumping an ATV off of the bullpen mounds! That was awesome. Some teams offer their own versions of ballpark food. In Aberdeen, MD you can get crabs by the pound!
I have been to thirty different minor league parks. Any time I have the opportunity to go to a park I have never seen before, I try to take advantage of it. I take a trip every summer and visit as many parks as I can. (I was recently asked by a local website to write a story about these trips, you can read it at the link below):

Minor League Baseball is a completely different product than the Major Leagues, but in my opinion, it is just as good for different reasons, and MUCH more affordable!

I like the atmosphere, you feel more of game, like watching HS or college ball.

Really, all of the above are all correct.
I've told my wife many times that if we are fortunate enough to retire someday, I'd like to relocate to a place that had a AA or AAA team.

My son and I are taking off to Reno this weekend for a much needed getaway. We will be catching Reno Aces games on friday and saturday. We decided to head to Reno because it is the shortest drive to a game from where we are in Oregon, other than Seattle/Tacoma, and we have never been to the ballpark there. Of course it doesn't hurt that dad can bet on some games and play black jack while we are there!!

Usually, myself. Sometimes my wife.
The Portland Sea Dogs are the closest professional team, now that Bangor no longer has an Independent League team.

The focus is not on winning. The focus is on teaching players how to play the game as a pro.
So therefore the focus of the MiLB clubs MUST be on promotions and entertainment. In the two years that the Biscuits won back to back pennants (2006-2007), Riverwalk Stadium was pretty full. Nowadays there are a lot less fans passing the turnstiles. So these promotions are one of the few products that can attract fans to the stadium.

I'm going to the Storm game this week on "Thirsty Thursday" - The thing that really got me was that they are retiring #99 for the season in honor of Charlie Sheen. Fans will also be receiving a Charlie Sheen bobblehead. Thirsty thursday consist of $1 beers and sodas.

What? You're going to a Padres affiliate? And you call yourself a Dodger fan?
Nah. Cool. I like that promotion. I hope that he doesn't sue the club for using his name...
