My goodness. The team I expected to have the lowest payroll isn't even dead last. My "buddy" Loria is at spot 24.

No disrespect, but I find it absolutely hilarious that the Mets and Cubs are about fourth place teams with top 6 and 7 payrolls.

Glad to see the Brewers sliding down the ranks in payroll (not sarcasm). It'll be a lot more pleasurable when the Brewers beat up on the big market clubs in the playoffs.

As if that's some sort of rarity?

I don't find these shocking at all. The Phillies and the Red Sox have been creeping ever closer to the Yankees for a while.

The discrepancy between the highest payroll and the lowest has been this wide for a decade. What's interesting is to see that the middle 2/3 of the teams, Cubs to Diamondbacks, are so far apart 50 to 125.

I'll extend what OS said: not only the Yankees, but all the owners are making plenty of money off these guys.

The Government should tax the Yankees more.:joke: Not surprise on the spot my Mariners. Even though we suck we still make a good chunk of change to spend on players.

The Reds are the 2010-2011 version of the Rays.
