NEW YORK (AP)—Christina Aguilera has been invited to sing a do-over.

The Brooklyn Cyclones are offering the Staten Island native a chance to perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” before one of the minor league baseball team’s home games this summer.

Aguilera botched one of the lines of the national anthem before Sunday’s Super Bowl in Arlington, Texas. The New York Mets’ Class A farm team extended the invitation Tuesday.

Cyclones general manager Steve Cohen said in a statement that “when a player makes a mistake, they usually don’t get a shot at redemption, but with a singer, that’s a different story.”

My Gosh! Isn't this two fumbles in the last week by pro singers?

A single A game compared to the Superbowl...not quite the same haha, but hey maybe this will calm her nerves. This is actually pretty big for a single A team, to have Christina Aguilera.

Two words: publicity stunt. Not a chance in hell she'll actually do it.

I can't imagine why she would sing the Nation Anthem for a minor league team unless she has some ties to someone in the organization, team, or the city itself. She's just too well-known of a singer and I don't see how that can make people forget about her mess-up.

It wasn't reported in the news but I have invited her over to my house to sing me sweet lullaby's until I fall off into a deep sleep, just like a newborn baby. I'm pretty sure she'll accept. Updates to follow...............
