Last night I bumped into a press conference of the SF Giants in which they announced to extend the contract of manager Bruce Bochy and GM Brian Sabean with two years (at least).
The Giants' owner said that this move was a way to say thank you for the great 2010 season.
I always like it to see when a club has patience with their manager. Since the Giants hired Bochy, there were some losing seasons. Many other clubs would have fired him much sooner after a fifth and fourth place finish in his first two years.
Kudos to the Giants.
